Best Prostate Cancer Treatment: Proton Beam Therapy
Go directly to the information about proton therapy centers:
After being treated for prostate cancer, I decided to spread the word about proton beam therapy. (I guess you got that message already.) My life partner Linda Ricketts was (and is) my companion at every step of my journey and so is an important player in the story. We are retired, now, and live in San Antonio. We visit our grandchildren in the San Juan Islands and take the odd cruise now and then. As an Episcopal priest, Linda still does supply work, filling in for clergy on Sundays throughout south central Texas.
I'm not much for social media, although I'm about to learn how to present proton therapy on Facebook. My personal page there has been dormant for some time. For two decades before retiring, I was a professional labyrinth builder. I taught, lectured, wrote books, and otherwise stayed fully involved until my retirement. Now, I make one or two labyrinths a year, answer people's questions and refer inquiries to my talented colleagues.
I publish my books with digital print-on-demand (POD) technology through my company, Labyrinth Enterprises, LLC, with the help of CreateSpace. I have at least two more books about protons planned, one being a black-and-white version with a lower cover price and an eBook. I realize at $30.95 my full-color book is a bit pricey, but, hey, think of the cost of prostate or other cancer. An important first step in treatment is research. Thirty bucks is a small price if you find the best treatment solution for your particular situation.
I intend to actively visit proton therapy centers around the country and feature them in these pages. I keep studying new aspects of the technology (currently, proton tomography) so as to stay qualified as an author, blogger, and presenter. It may seem a little clumsy to have two websites, one for the book(s) and one for the blog, but linking back and forth is pretty easy. Each has its own focus. I hope you readers will help me out by contacting me with ideas, corrections, news about proton centers opening, medical studies, and other information. Thanks for stopping by.
